Having looked on the internet both the Alko side jack and the Kojac light jacks look good and I was hoping someone could advise me which way to go. Fortunatly the maximum weight of the caravan fully laden is around:- 1177 Kg. So I’m sure both brands will cope with the van OK.

13/08/2014 · I had 2 Kojack bottle jacks the first one collapsed suddenly the 2nd time it was used as the seal went spraying oil around, it was taken back to the supplier who exchanged it for another this one did the same the 3rd time it was used, not used on a large caravan , decided not to risk another so got my money back and purchased a Alko side lift jack not had any issues with that.

30/05/2018 · On your Al-Ko chassis the two holes in your image are the jacking bracket, both holes can be used for either Al-Ko or Kojack brackets Only the 2 bolt holes are used for the bracket mounting, The Al-Ko mount has a small flange at the top which rests on the wooden/ply floor (this is to stop the chassis twisting outwards if it moves on the jack) but the Kojack bracket only uses the two bolt holes.

13/08/2014 · I had 2 Kojack bottle jacks the first one collapsed suddenly the 2nd time it was used as the seal went spraying oil around, it was taken back to the supplier who exchanged it for another this one did the same the 3rd time it was used, not used on a large caravan , decided not to risk another so got my money back and purchased a Alko side lift jack not had any issues with that.

I had a Kojack bottle jack but unfortunately it would periodically spew the oil out of the piston, shame as in every other aspect it was good and the brackets were superb, but I just couldn’t trust it so it had to go. I don’t use a jack for levelling just a board or (two if needed) and roll the van onto it. Dave—–

25/01/2013 · Having read about the importance of not leaving the caravan in the same position for months on end because of the effect it has on the tyres, I have just bought an Alko side lift jack and brackets, so that I can jack the caravan up myself and put winter wheels on instead of the tyres.Reading the instructions, the caravan has to be hitched up to the towcar whilst using the jack.
